With July winding down and August on the horizon I want to write down the crazy adventures that have come my way this month. I love July. I always have and always will.
First, I should probably write about the fourth. The fourth of July is ranked amongst my favorite holidays. I love the tradition of it all, the fireworks, the barbecues, the small town parades. What's not to love really? This year I spent the holiday in Provo with my dear friends Ashley and Daryn. We had the great pleasure of meeting and staying with Daryn's amazing family, who made sure there was never a dull moment. They are great people and I am so lucky to have had the chance of meeting them. Together we roamed University Ave. where we ran into some new and old faces, "camped out" for the parade, and set off newly legal fireworks. It was a splendid time. When the time came to leave Ptown we headed to Huntsville for their annual celebration. There we met up with the A-Team and some of our closest friends. We spent the evening shooting hoopes, playing catch, and of course barbecuing. It just doesn't get more American than that. It felt like a scene straight out of the sandlot. Finally, the fireworks came and went, but not before TJ led us all in an impromptu dance party. The holiday was well spent, and one that I hope to remember always. I was surrounded by the best of people and my day was filled with the best of traditions.
Just after the fireworks.
Though the traditional events for the day had ended, the fun most definitely did not. On our way home from Huntsville we got stuck in some crazy stop and go traffic. Being the spontaneous girls that we are, we left our car alone a few times while we blasted music and danced along side the traffic. The people of Huntsville didn't know what hit 'em. No joke people where taking picture of us. Before the night was over we got lost in Ogden and almost drove straight into oncoming traffic. What a day. Ha

Next on the list of adventure comes cliff jumping. I already posted about it, so I'll just add a picture or two and call it good.

This is what happens when Shelbie gives you a count down and then chickens out.

Next, let me tell you of Oneida. Oneida is a river that runs through the semi-near by town of Preston Idaho. I made the trip not once, but twice last week to float the river and with each time came a new adventure. I use the word adventure to much.. oh well. In any case, the first time we went my long time goal of meeting USU's basketball star Tai Wesley was realized. That in itself was enough for a great day. The second time I made my way down the river I did so with some beloved A-Team members. At one point I was knocked off my tube in the middle of some rather large boulders. I saw my life flash before my eyes, but alas all was well. I made it through the wilderness. Somehow I made it thoughhhh.

The last of the big adventures- because keep in mind everyday is it's own adventure- is that of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2! Some friends and I camped out for the big premiere and we did so in style. A few of us dressed up as characters from the movie, and Kaden channeled his inner Spidey.
Never before have a dressed up for a movie, but it was an experience to say the least-a good one! Just call me Professor Trelawney.

Now the 24th of July weekend is here and I am excited for what it has in store for me. Good things have come to pass in years past on the 24th, and this year is sure to bring something new!
