Cookie night!

Sunday, December 14, 2008

Ah cookie night! It has become quite the tradition between my best friend Jenna and I. Normally it consists of baking a monumental amount of cookies with our closest pals, frosting them, and eating ourselves into oblivion. This year the tradition was revised a little bit, but for the better I think. This was the first year we were old enough to morph a a night with close friends into a date night! Naturally the decorating turned into a competition, and a mighty fine one! The four categories were most creative, ugliest ( or thanks for trying, as we called it), best traditional, and most desirable. Before the date we all ( Jenna, Mia, Lara, and I) made a trip to the lovely dollar store to pick out prizes, and later Jenna's mom judged our efforts. My date Hayden and I won most desireable with our Ninja and Throwing Star cookie! We also made a beautiful poinsettia cookie, and a rather realistic looking rudolph! When all of the cookies had been judged we took them down to the local police station to spread some Christmas cheer! They were skeptic at first, and thought that we might have spiked the cookies with pot but were, after much convincing, very grateful! Overall it was a super fun night! Cute boys, and cookies..what more can a girl ask for!?

My thoughts exactly! (cute boys and cookies). Delightful post, daughter....but you failed to mention that you have the advantage of the cookie decorating gene on your side. Decorating hustler!!!

So glad you have caught the blogging bug!

Yay! You started a blog! I'm going to check it everyday! I made cookies today too (although it was of the chocolate chip variety), but it's never as much fun as when you are there! Love your guts!
